There was no one around and we had so much fun popping champagne and running around the desert. Luckily, we found someone who is mountain biking who agreed to be the witness and it all turned out perfectly!įinally, after the elopement, we ran around the desert and took some bridal photos of the newlyweds. Then we had to drive around the desert and find someone to be the second Witness. My boyfriend got to be one of the witnesses as well. It was so special to be a part of something so big like this. I decided to get ordained and officiate the wedding myself instead of trying to find someone to do it! I was nervous but so excited to pronounce them husband and wife. The desert is far from everything which makes it hard to get an officiant. These are always some of the sweetest moments and some of my favorite moments to capture. The Elopement Day came and we planned on meeting out in the desert. Not to mention, it’s so pretty out there and such a fun place to camp with no one around. It’s about an eight-hour drive so it makes for the perfect little vacation. It’s one of our favorite little getaways in Oregon and we make a trip out each year. My boyfriend (Jeffy) and I love visiting the Alvord desert. This is where they first met and where their love story started. I felt an instant connection with them from the start! They didn’t have a set plan for their elopement yet, but they just knew that they wanted to do it at Alvord Desert in Oregon! They told me that this location is very special to them.
